Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir al-Najafi emphasized that holding firmly to the “Thaqalayn”—the Quran and the Prophet Muhammad’s family—is essential for following the true path of Islam. The Grand Marja made these remarks while receiving delegations of clerics and religious educators from the Philippines and Pakistan, who visited the shrines of the Ahl al-Bayt in Iraq.

Al-Najafi stressed the significance of deepening knowledge of the Quran and adhering to the teachings of the Prophet’s family (peace be upon them all). He highlighted the historic role of religious seminaries in nurturing scholars and thinkers vital to the Muslim community.

He also welcomed believers from various Islamic countries, urging them to embody the Prophet’s example in both word and deed, recalling the Prophet’s reputation for honesty and trustworthiness before his prophethood as key to his successful mission.
