Union Minister Giriraj Singh has vowed to deport all Bangladeshis who entered India after 1971 if the NDA returns to power in Bihar, Muslim Mirror reported. Speaking to IANS, Singh promised that under the NDA government, “infiltrators” will be identified and sent back, asserting that neither Rahul Gandhi nor Lalu Prasad Yadav can protect them.
Singh’s comments followed remarks by former Planning Commission member Syeda Hameed, who advocated for humane treatment of Bangladeshis amid eviction drives in Assam. Singh criticized her statements, accusing her of promoting the idea of “Ghazwa-e-Hind.”
He also praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s 20-year leadership, highlighting a corruption-free tenure, contrasting it with the previous UPA government’s alleged scams. Singh mocked Rahul Gandhi’s recent visit to Bihar, saying mimicking Narendra Modi requires more than symbolic gestures.
The statements come amid a broader pattern of crackdown on minorities and ethnic groups under the Nationalist Government pushed by Hindutva.
