In Hyderabad, members of extremist Hindutva organizations recently protested outside a centuries-old seminary, Madrasa Noomania, demanding its closure, Muslim Mirror reported. The madrassa, which is approximately 400 years old, has been operating within Masjid-e-Hussaini, a mosque of similar age, for the past seven years.

A spokesperson for the Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT), Amjadullah Khan, described the protest as a deliberate attempt to incite communal tensions. He accused the Hindutva groups of raising provocative slogans for over two hours and criticized the local police for their inaction.

The protesting groups alleged that the madrassa was enrolling “outsiders,” a claim that the madrassa’s management has denied, stating that its students are all locals. The protest has instilled fear among the community, including the madrassa’s students and teachers, who are concerned about their future.
