Specialist Suggests Four Simple Ways for Healthy Lifestyle
—————————–
Dr. Kurt Hong, an obesity specialist and nutrition researcher, has shared four simple recommendations to promote longevity and fitness, Independent Persian reported. As a professor at the University of Southern California and medical director of Lifeforce, he emphasizes following a Mediterranean diet, avoiding overeating, and reducing consumption of ultra-processed foods as key to a healthy lifestyle.

His first advice is to increase intake of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, which are rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals that help lower the risk of heart disease and cancer. Second, he recommends eating more fish—especially wild salmon and tuna—as a primary source of animal protein and omega-3 fatty acids essential for brain health.

Third, Hong stresses the importance of portion control, warning that overeating—even healthy foods—can cause chronic inflammation and weight gain. Finally, he advises preparing meals at home to limit ultra-processed food consumption, which is linked to chronic illnesses. These guidelines aim to improve quality of life and extend lifespan.
