Grand Ayatollah Shirazi World Center Holds Arbaeen Ceremony in Montreal

The Grand Ayatollah Shirazi World Center and the Iranian Islamic Center in Montreal hosted a ceremony to commemorate Arbaeen, the 40th day after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). The event drew members of the Muslim community and other attendees.

The ceremony began with the distribution of food, water, and drinks to passersby. Participants were also given a QR code to access an English-language video about the life and character of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), an initiative that was well-received.

The program continued with Hojatoleslam Seyyed Mousa Fali reciting the Ashura Pilgrimage. Hojatoleslam Sheikh Saleh Sibouyeh, the representative of Ayatollah Al-Shirazi, spoke about the significance of following the path of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). He emphasized that the events of Karbala and Ashura are a timeless school for the guidance of humanity. The ceremony concluded with a mourning session led by Mirza Ahmad Sibouyeh.
