Brutal Killing of Muslim Youth in Maharashtra: Family Attacked, Community Demands Justice

A 21-year-old Muslim youth from Chooti Betawad in Maharashtra’s Jamner taluk was kidnapped, brutally beaten at multiple locations, and his body was left outside his home, Muslim Mirror reported. His family was also attacked when they tried to rescue him.

Suleman Rahim Khan, who had just completed his Class 12, was forcibly taken in a vehicle to various places where he was mercilessly assaulted with sticks, iron rods, and bare hands. He was then brought back to his neighborhood and beaten again. According to police, a mob chased him to Chhoti Betawad and attacked him.

His body was found outside his home and he was declared dead at the hospital due to fatal injuries.

Around 15 men had intimidated Suleman while he was at a cafe near a local police station with a 17-year-old girl from a different community.

Police have filed an FIR charging murder, kidnapping, rioting, and unlawful assembly under the BNS. Reddy confirmed that four men have been arrested and five suspects identified.
