5,800 Vehicles Facilitate Arbaeen Pilgrims’ Transport via Three Border Points

The Private Transport Directorate in Najaf announced on Monday that 5,800 vehicles have participated in transporting Arbaeen pilgrims through three main border crossings.

Diaa Kamel Hamed, head of the Najaf branch of the General Company for Private Transport, said that 1,651 vehicles were recorded in reverse convoys from the southern Najaf garage toward border points with Iran and southern provinces, using a smart gate tracking system.

He added that the total number of vehicles operating since the start of the pilgrimage reached 5,824 of various types and capacities. Transport operations were distributed across the Shalamcheh, Zurbatiyah, and Al-Sheeb border crossings, in addition to various destinations across Iraq.
