American civil rights activist in Karbala calls on Americans to learn about Imam Hussein’s revolution as a symbol of justice.
According to Shia Waves Persian via BBC News, Jackson Hinkle, an American civil activist visiting Karbala during the Arbaeen pilgrimage, praised the depth and spirituality of this global event.
Hinkle called on Americans to become acquainted with the story of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), whom he described as a symbol of freedom, sacrifice, and justice.
He compared Imam Hussein’s uprising to the sacrifice of Jesus Christ (peace be upon them both), and likened Lady Zaynab’s role to that of Mary (peace be upon them both), highlighting the spiritual and human connections between Islam and Christianity.
