Al-Zainabi Holy Mound in Holy Karbala has opened its doors to visitors following significant development as part of the Aqila Zainab Courtyard project, ahead of the Arbaeen pilgrimage.

The site, closely linked to the memory of the Battle of Karbala, has undergone extensive expansion from 200 square meters to approximately 3,300 square meters, featuring multiple floors and enhanced facilities for pilgrims.

The four-story complex includes a ground floor, mezzanine, and two underground levels, offering worship spaces, rest areas, and artistic architectural elements reflecting the site’s spiritual and historical significance.

This opening coincides with the influx of millions of pilgrims to Karbala for Arbaeen, providing a larger and well-organized environment for religious ceremonies and visitation.

Al-Zainabi Holy Mound is part of the larger Aqila Zainab Courtyard project, covering 160,000 square meters and comprising extensive service, health, and cultural facilities designed to improve infrastructure for pilgrims during religious seasons.
