The World Health Organization (WHO) has delivered 24 truckloads of essential medical supplies to the Gaza Strip since Friday, as announced by Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Sunday, Anadolu Agency reported. The vital shipments include medicines, trauma and surgical equipment, treatments for non-communicable diseases, and supplies for laboratory and water testing.

These critical items are slated for distribution to health facilities and partners across the besieged enclave in the coming days. Ghebreyesus extended gratitude to the United Arab Emirates for its contribution to this latest aid delivery.

The WHO Director-General reiterated urgent calls for a sustained, uninterrupted, and expanded flow of humanitarian health aid into Gaza, emphasizing that “Lives across Gaza depend on it.” The plea comes as the region faces a severe humanitarian crisis, with a collapsed health system and widespread hunger.
