The Ahlulbayt Society in Glasgow, Scotland, held a commemorative event marking the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hassan Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him). The program drew members of the Islamic community, including women and families from diverse backgrounds.
The gathering began with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a heartfelt poetic tribute delivered by Sayyid Al-Hakeem, highlighting the injustices faced by Imam Hassan (peace be upon him).
Sheikh Mohammed Al-Sheikh then delivered a sermon focusing on key ethical teachings such as truthfulness, tolerance, and the dangers of lying and slander. He also reflected on the life of Imam Hassan (peace be upon him), emphasizing both his virtues and the oppression he endured.
The event featured elegiac recitations by eulogist Mohammed Al-Badri, whose poems in honor of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) resonated deeply with the audience.
Dinner was served in remembrance of Imam Hassan (AS), and the program concluded with congregational prayers led by Sheikh Mohammed Al-Sheikh.
