The Indonesian government is promoting the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) technology among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to strengthen supply chains within the industrial ecosystem, Xinhua reported.
Loto Srinaita Ginting, expert staff for finance and MSME development at the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, highlighted at a Surabaya event that AI enables MSMEs to analyze market demand swiftly. AI facilitates data integration between buyers and sellers, enhancing business precision and responsiveness to market changes. Additionally, it supports efficient raw material stock estimation and adaptive production management.
Ginting emphasized AI’s role in helping MSMEs expand domestically and integrate into global industrial chains. Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs is driving digital transformation by leveraging AI, big data, and cloud computing to optimize performance.
Vice Minister Nezar Patria stated earlier that AI, combined with big data and cloud technology, will enhance strategic planning, risk mitigation, service security, and financial optimization for state-owned enterprises, reinforcing the nation’s digital advancement efforts.
