The Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League recently organized a conference at their Central Secretariat in Model Town, Lahore, to honor Sayyida Zainab (peace be upon her) as a symbol of patience, courage, and perseverance, Shiite News reported. The event highlighted her exemplary role during the tragic events of Karbala, presenting her as a timeless role model for women.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Nazim-e-Ala of Minhaj-ul-Quran, praised Sayyida Zainab (peace be upon her) for her steadfastness and described her character as an ideal example for daughters and sisters today. Lubna Mushtaq, head of the Coordination Committee, emphasized that the Ummah’s salvation lies in love for the Quran and Ahlul Bayt (peace be upon them), noting Sayyida Zainab’s courage in confronting Yazid’s oppression.
Dr. Rana Farooq of Farid-e-Millat Research Institute called her an impregnable fortress against tyranny, urging practical adoption of Ahlul Bayt’s values. Professor Dr. Uzma Zareen labeled her the Ghazi of Karbala, lauding her truthfulness and courage. Other speakers, including Humaira Bhutto and Khanum Tayyaba Naqvi, highlighted her bravery and dignity in adversity.
The conference was attended by numerous women leaders and dignitaries, reaffirming Sayyida Zainab’s (peace be upon her) enduring legacy as a beacon of resilience and truth in Islamic history.
