The seventh edition of the AI for Good Global Summit opened today in Geneva, gathering global leaders, technology experts, and representatives from civil society to explore how artificial intelligence can address major worldwide issues, Anadolu Agency reported.

Organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in partnership with the Swiss government and over 40 United Nations agencies, the four-day event is held at the Palexpo convention center. The summit focuses on using AI to tackle challenges in health, climate change, education, and inclusive development.

Hundreds of speakers from governments, academia, industry, and international organizations are participating. The program includes live demonstrations of AI technologies, an exhibition showcasing innovative solutions, and networking opportunities to encourage collaboration.

Sessions will also address the ethical considerations and regulatory frameworks needed to ensure responsible AI deployment globally.

The summit aims to generate practical AI-driven solutions that contribute to sustainable development and improve quality of life worldwide. It remains a key platform for advancing AI’s role in achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
