Microsoft plans further job cuts amid AI investment push
…………………

Microsoft is reportedly preparing to cut thousands of jobs, mainly in sales, as it restructures its workforce to focus on expanding artificial intelligence, Bloomberg News reported. This move follows a previous round of layoffs affecting about 6,000 employees in May.

The company plans to invest $80 billion this fiscal year, primarily to expand data centers supporting AI services. Layoffs are expected to be announced next month after the fiscal year ends but may impact other departments as well. Microsoft had approximately 228,000 employees as of June last year and declined to comment on the report.
