Seventy Arrested in Lower Kurram Following Protests

Security forces have arrested over 70 individuals, including prominent cleric Haji Karim and Takfiri terrorist Mufti Shah Nawaz, during a crackdown in the Bagan area of Lower Kurram, Shiite News reported. This action follows a series of protests that spanned two months, initiated after multiple attacks on convoys heading to Parachinar.
The arrests come as part of the government’s response to escalating tensions in the region, particularly after the third attack on a convoy. In addition to the arrests, security forces have recovered looted goods from various locations, believed to have originated from the attacked convoy.
Authorities have issued a notice instructing residents of Bagan, Charkhel, Mandori, and Uchhat to return any looted items and prepare for evacuation by 10 AM tomorrow. The situation remains tense as the government seeks to restore order in Lower Kurram amidst ongoing unrest.
