Israeli military destroys over 37 towns, 40,000 homes in southern Lebanon
The Lebanese National News Agency has reported that the Israeli military has completely destroyed more than 37 towns in southern Lebanon, along with over 40,000 residential units within a 3-kilometer stretch from Naqoura to the outskirts of Khiam.
This escalation is part of a surge in intense attacks by the Israeli military on southern Lebanon’s residential areas, which began in October 2023.
According to news reports, the ongoing strikes have resulted in significant civilian casualties, marking a new and dangerous phase of heightened tension and threat to thousands of residents.
According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, Israeli airstrikes have so far killed over 3,000 people and injured approximately 13,500 others, amid deteriorating humanitarian conditions.
