Professor Henry Klassen, a renowned ophthalmology professor at the University of California and a graduate of Harvard and Pittsburgh universities, embraced Islam.

Pioneering in the field of stem cells and retinal reconstruction, Klassen is known for inventing a stem cell drug that was recently approved by the US Food and Drug Administration to treat hereditary blindness.

The scientist embraced Islam during the holy month of Ramadan, adopting the new name Abdul Haq, according to Morocco World News.
