UN chief urges world leaders to prioritize disarmament, non-proliferation efforts
The United Nations Secretary-General called on global leaders to invest in peace by strengthening the systems and tools that prevent the proliferation and use of deadly weapons.
On the International Day for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation Awareness, António Guterres stressed that disarmament and non-proliferation are critical not only to a peaceful future, but to the very existence of humanity.
“It’s time to stop the madness. We need disarmament now,” UN chief’s statement urged.
