In less than 24 hours, two relatively strong earthquakes rattle northern Afghanistan

An earthquake of 4.4 magnitude on the Richter scale shook Badakhshan province in northern Afghanistan on Sunday morning.

According to the US Geological Survey, the epicenter of the earthquake was Jurm District of Badakhshan. Around 10 o’clock last night, a magnitude-5 earthquake struck several provinces of Afghanistan, including the capital, Kabul.

According to local reports, the earthquake was also felt in parts of Pakistan and Tajikistan. There are no reports of casualties and damages from the earthquakes yet.
