Grand Ayatollah Shirazi reiterates his instructions on necessity of increasing charitable activities

The Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Hussaini al-Shirazi, has reiterated his special instructions to the followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, to increase their charitable and humanitarian activities to care for needy and poor families around the world.

Grand Ayatollah Shirazi’s statement came during his reception of a number of social figures, activists, and philanthropists from the State of Kuwait at his hounarable residence in the holy city of Qom.

The official website of His Eminence’s office said in a statement received by Shia Waves Agency, that “His Eminence welcomed this blessed visit, and appreciated the visitors’ sincere loyalty to the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, and their keenness to revive their pure rituals.”

It added, “His Eminence also thanked the visitors for their blessed efforts and for bearing the burden of travel to meet him,” explaining that “Grand Ayatollah Shirazi presented a number of recommendations to the visitors in which he stressed the importance of caring for people from poor and needy families, and families of orphans and martyrs.”

The official website pointed out that “His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Shirazi constantly calls loyal Shias, centers, and charitable institutions affiliated with his office, to fulfill the needs of the believers and the poor families; and to extend a helping hand to them in light of the difficult economic conditions that the world is witnessing.”
