The Islamic Human Rights Commission and Scotland Against Criminalizing communities
The Islamic Human Rights Commission and Scotland Against Criminalizing communities have held London’s Islamophobia conference, titled “The Changing Face of Islamophobia”.
The conference was held in London and Scotland and 14 other capitals of Europe.
Attacks against Muslims in London have more than tripled since the Paris attacks, and have made life more difficult for the British Muslims.
According to recent reports, “a culture of hate is being promoted, created and emphasized against Muslims.”
A survey conducted in Britain indicated that 80% of Muslims said they witnessed Islamophobia being perpetrated against the Muslim community.
Over 80% said that politicians were advocating hatred, whilst 40% of Muslims said hatred is actively promoted by the media.
