Turkish academic: The sacrifices in the Karbala Battle played a role in establishing the landmarks of the Islamic religion in the way we are witnessing today
The Turkish newspaper, “N Gazete”, quoted one of the most famous academics of the country, stressing the pivotal role played by the Karbala Battle and the martyrdom of the grandson of the Noble Prophet, Imam Hussein bin Ali (peace be upon him), in establishing the landmarks of the Islamic religion in the way we are witnessing at the present time.
The newspaper quoted a professor at the Islamic Higher Institute in Turkey, Abdullah Bakir, in an exclusive interview, saying, “The Quran is the constitution of Islam, and this constitution was sent by God Almighty to His Prophet (peace be upon him and his progeny) including the foundations of justice, security and equality.”
He added, “The administration of the Noble Messenger (peace be upon him and his progeny) is a form of administration dictated to him by God, which is taken entirely from the Holy Quran, and on its basis a just republic unparalleled in the entire world was established.”
Bakir stressed, in the context of the meeting, that “the enemies of Islam did not like this constitution to continue as a model for the world, and they had this opportunity 70 years after its launch, when the armies of Yazid (may Allah curse him) and those who stood behind it, by killing the grandsons of the Messenger (peace be upon him and his progeny) in Karbala according to the tyrants’ principle (let’s kill him before he is born),” stressing that “these forces wanted to kill Islam by killing the grandson of the Prophet of Islam, Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).”
The well-known Turkish researcher pointed out that “the enemies of Islam, through their war against Abu al-Ahrar (peace be upon him), tried to change the very important laws of God that would have spread throughout the world, and one of the results of this war was what we can call the (Islamic Constitution) that prevailed in the time of the Messenger (peace be upon him and his progeny), which has not been fully implemented until today, due to the fact that Muslims have rallied against each other since then.”
