Famous Turkish writer: “Those who do not remember the tragedy of Karbala are followers of a religion other than Islam”

The Turkish newspaper, Yeni Mesaj, published an editorial in which it denounced the small number of media outlets and researchers who recall and commemorate what it described as the “Karbala Massacre” and its painful details.

The author of the article, Aziz Karaca said: “Isn’t the month of Muharram a season of mourning, sadness and torment for all Muslims, whose number today has reached two billion people?

If this is the case, then why is it attributed to a certain part of the Muslims who weep for the souls that were killed in memory of this tragedy and curse their killers? Doesn’t this issue concern Muslims belonging to other sects they call?”
