Two worshippers were killed after being stabbed inside a mosque in the central Turkish city of Kayseri shortly before the evening prayer, in an incident that shocked local residents.

Local media reported that a suspect, believed to be suffering from psychological disorders, attacked two men with a knife inside Saraycik Mosque in the Kocasinan district. The victims sustained serious injuries and died at the scene.

Police and emergency teams rushed to the mosque after the attack, while security forces cordoned off the area. The suspect was arrested shortly afterward and taken to a police station for questioning.
