Magnitude 5.6 earthquake jolts central Turkey, causing damage to buildings

A 5.6 magnitude earthquake struck central Turkey on Thursday, causing damage to buildings in the town of Sulusaray, AlARABIYA News reported.

According to the source, there were no immediate reports of deaths or serious injuries, but some buildings collapsed in small towns and barns were damaged in villages.

Earlier in the day, Sulusaray experienced two other earthquakes measuring 4.7 and 4.1.

Turkey is prone to frequent earthquakes due to its location on active fault lines.
