Shiite Muslims around the world are preparing to commemorate the birth anniversary of Lady Zainab al-Kubra (peace be upon her), the daughter of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), which falls on the fifth of Jumada al-Ula. Holy shrines and religious sites are being decorated to welcome visitors taking part in the celebrations.

According to the Shia Waves Agency, the Shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in Najaf has been adorned with flowers, decorative banners and festive displays expressing devotion to Lady Zainab (peace be upon her). The shrine administration has also prepared celebratory events and speeches, with delegations expected from various Iraqi provinces and visitors arriving from abroad.

In Karbala, the shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) has likewise been decorated with roses and banners marking the occasion, as visitors gather to celebrate the birth anniversary.

The anniversary holds special significance for followers of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), who remember Lady Zainab’s courage and sacrifices during and after the Battle of Karbala, as well as her role in preserving and conveying the message of Imam Hussein’s uprising.
