In a religious ceremony in South Korea, a robot made its debut as a Buddhist monk, standing alongside human monks for the first time.

According to a report by Deutsche Welle Persian, the event took place at the Jogye Temple in Seoul, where a robot named Gabi was seen in a group photo with Buddhist monks.

The aim of this project, as stated by the media, is to create a link between traditional religious practices and modern technology, while also attracting the younger generation to traditional rituals.

It was also reported that the symbolic robot adheres to Buddhist ethical principles and carries a 108-bead rosary, reflecting its commitment to Buddhist teachings.
