Doha to Host International Conference on Quran and Human Knowledge in October

Doha is preparing to host an international conference in early October under the theme “It Guides to That Which is Most Upright”, focusing on the relationship between the Quran and human knowledge. The event is organized by Qatar’s Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs in collaboration with Qatar University.

Held under the title “The Quran and Human Knowledge: Towards Sound Human Understanding”, the conference seeks to reestablish the Quran’s central role in shaping contemporary intellectual and social discourse. It also aims to bridge the gap between Islamic scholarship and modern social and human sciences. More than 18 researchers from across the Islamic world, representing diverse fields, are expected to participate.

The conference will highlight the Quran’s influence on educational, social, psychological, and economic knowledge. Alongside this event, the ministry and Qatar University will launch the “First Nation’s Book Forum”, showcasing four decades of contributions by the Nation’s Book series in addressing cultural and intellectual issues within the Muslim world.
