Qatar Delivers Final 2025 Fuel Shipment to Support Lebanese Army
Qatar sent 62,000 tonnes of fuel to Lebanon’s Tripoli port on Sunday, marking the third and final delivery of its 2025 aid package to bolster the Lebanese army’s operational capacity, Arab News reported.
The Qatar Fund for Development (QFD) coordinated the shipment, emphasizing its role in enhancing Lebanon’s security and stability, according to the Qatar News Agency (QNA).The QFD stated the aid reflects Qatar’s commitment to supporting the Lebanese people and promoting regional prosperity.
This year’s total deliveries exceeded 60,000 tonnes, continuing Qatar’s sustained assistance to Lebanon amid ongoing economic and security challenges.Analysts note the shipments help mitigate Lebanon’s energy shortages while strengthening military readiness. The QNA highlighted the delivery as part of Doha’s broader efforts to foster stability in the region.
