The Global Nonviolence Organization (Freemuslim) has strongly condemned what it described as systematic abuses and violations committed by Israeli authorities against Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons. The organization said the reported practices constitute a “serious breach of international conventions, particularly the Geneva Conventions and international humanitarian law.”

In a statement received by Shia Waves Agency, the organization cited multiple reports of torture, ill-treatment, and deprivation of basic rights and medical care, describing them as “grave violations of human values and international law.” It warned that these actions amount to “crimes against humanity,” calling for international accountability.

According to the statement, Palestinian prisoners are subjected to deliberate physical and psychological abuse aimed at “breaking their will and dignity.” The organization added that medical negligence has worsened the health conditions of many sick detainees, describing it as a form of “slow killing.”

The group also condemned Israel’s continued use of administrative detention—holding Palestinians without charge or trial—which it said represents a “blatant violation of justice and human rights.” It further highlighted the “inhumane conditions” in detention centers that lack even the minimum standards of decent living.

The organization urged the international community to assume its moral and legal responsibilities toward these reported violations. It called on the United Nations, the Security Council, and the International Criminal Court to launch an independent and impartial investigation into the alleged crimes and hold those responsible accountable.

Additionally, the statement appealed to the International Committee of the Red Cross and global human rights organizations to intensify their humanitarian efforts, conduct unannounced and regular visits to Israeli prisons, and pressure the authorities to immediately end the abuses.

The Global Nonviolence Organization also called on states party to the Geneva Conventions to fulfill their legal obligations by pressuring Israel to comply with the conventions governing the treatment of prisoners of war and civilians under occupation. It further demanded the immediate release of all Palestinian detainees, particularly children, the elderly, the sick, and those held under administrative detention.

The organization concluded by affirming that “nonviolence is a moral strength that rejects silence in the face of injustice,” stressing that a “just and lasting peace in the region cannot be achieved while the dignity of Palestinian prisoners continues to be violated.”
