Over 8,000 People Still Missing Under Gaza’s Rubble, Palestinian Center Says
……………
The Palestinian Center for the Missing and Forcibly Disappeared reported that between 8,000 and 9,000 people remain missing in the Gaza Strip, most believed to be trapped under rubble or in areas controlled by Israeli forces. In a statement seen by Shia Waves Agency, the center urged the international community to intervene urgently to help recover bodies and identify victims.
It said local authorities are unable to manage the vast destruction caused by nearly two years of continuous Israeli bombardment, which has also hindered rescue operations. The center called for the entry of UN-supervised international rescue teams, forensic experts, and DNA specialists to assist families in identifying loved ones, warning that global inaction leaves thousands facing ongoing humanitarian tragedy.
