Dozens killed in Israeli strikes across Gaza

Israeli attacks across Gaza on Tuesday resulted in the deaths of 57 Palestinians and injured over 200, according to medical sources. Among the casualties, 19 were killed near an Israeli-backed aid distribution point south of Gaza City, where Israeli forces reportedly opened fire on civilians gathered for aid. Witnesses also reported drone attacks near the site.

Additional strikes targeted multiple locations: 12 fatalities occurred in Jabalia in northern Gaza, four family members died in Khan Younis, and several others were killed in Deir al-Balah, including victims of airstrikes on homes and Red Crescent facilities. Medical personnel confirmed deaths of women and children among the victims.

The Israeli military continues its offensive in Gaza, which began in October 2023, resulting in nearly 55,000 Palestinian deaths. Despite international calls for a ceasefire, operations persist. The International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants against Israeli officials over alleged war crimes, while Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice.
