UN Agency Warns of Devastating Psychological Toll on Gaza Children Amid Israeli Onslaught

The UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) has warned of the severe psychological impact on children in the Gaza Strip due to the ongoing Israeli military offensive, Anadolu Agency reported yesterday.

“Children in Gaza are suffering devastating levels of stress,” the agency stated. UNRWA counselors are working to provide hope and comfort to the affected children and adolescents.

The agency reiterated its call for a ceasefire, noting the vast destruction in Gaza, with 85% of the population internally displaced and facing shortages of essential supplies.

Israel has been accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice, which ordered the prevention of further such acts and the provision of humanitarian aid.
