World Economic Forum Annual Meeting Emphasizes Collaboration in Intelligent Age
The 2025 World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting began on Monday, January 20, in Davos, Switzerland, highlighting the need for global collaboration amid ongoing uncertainties, Xinhua reported.
Under the theme “Collaboration for the Intelligent Age,” this five-day event has attracted nearly 3,000 participants from diverse regions and industries to address key issues in five critical areas: Reimagining Growth, Industries in the Intelligent Age, Investing in People, Safeguarding the Planet, and Rebuilding Trust.
Klaus Schwab, founder and chairman of the WEF Board of Trustees, stated, “Despite differing views and significant uncertainties, the 2025 Annual Meeting aims to promote a spirit of cooperation and constructive optimism to shape the upcoming Intelligent Age in a more sustainable and inclusive manner.”
Borge Brende, president and CEO of the WEF, emphasized the urgent need for collaborative efforts, noting that the meeting occurs during a time of unprecedented global uncertainty, marked by geopolitical tensions, economic fragmentation, and accelerating climate change. He remarked, “In this unsettled climate, innovative and cooperative approaches are essential to tackle urgent challenges and unlock new opportunities.”
