Putin wins Russian Presidential election amid criticisms of unfairness

President Vladimir Putin won a record post-Soviet landslide in Russia’s election on Sunday with 87.8% of the vote, cementing his already tight grip on power for another 6 years.

According to the Central Election Commission of Russia, 112 million people in the territory of Russia and the occupied territories of Ukraine, and about two million Russians residing outside of Russia were eligible to vote.

Western countries, including America and Germany, have called these elections “not free and unfair.”
