UNICEF: 600,000 Syrian Children Face Severe Malnutrition
—————-
UNICEF has released a report highlighting a grave humanitarian crisis in Syria, announcing that 600,000 Syrian children are currently suffering from malnutrition, with 177,000 of them experiencing severe wasting, Shia Waves Persian reported.

According to the report, UNICEF requires $488 million in funding to provide essential support to Syrian children and families but has only secured 25% of that amount so far. The organization also warned of the worst drought in 36 years, a 54% decrease in rainfall, and water shortages for over 8.5 million people. These conditions are significantly increasing the risk of poverty, the spread of diseases, and mortality among children.
