Russian Missile Attack Damages Islamic Cultural Centre in Kyiv

On September 2, the Islamic Cultural Centre and mosque in Kyiv sustained significant damage from a Russian missile strike, Ukrainian Pravda revealed yesterday.

According to the source, Refat Chubarov, Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, reported the destruction on Facebook, calling the attack a demonstration of “absolute evil.” Fortunately, there were no casualties, as confirmed by military chaplain Suleiman Khairullaiev, Deputy Mufti of the Muslims of Crimea.

The missile strike was part of a larger assault on Kyiv, with air defense systems responding to over ten cruise missiles, a dozen ballistic missiles, and an attack drone. The Islamic Centre, particularly the mosque, will require extensive repairs following this devastating attack.
