Germany: Police arrest man for attempting to set mosque on fire

German police have arrested a suspect in connection with a fire at a mosque in Dortmund, Anadolu Agency reported.

The fire broke out at around 10:00 p.m. local time on Friday, and firefighters were called to the scene.

Reports indicate that a 23-year-old man has been detained on suspicion of arson in connection with the fire at the Anadolu Mosque, affiliated with the Turkish-Muslim group IGMG.

Fortunately, there were no casualties, and the fire was extinguished before it could cause major damage thanks to the rapid intervention of the fire department.
