The International Nonviolence Organization (Free Muslim) has expressed its strong condemnation of the racist acts that targeted the Takhteet al-Islam Mosque building in the Dutch city of Veldhoven, calling on the authorities to prosecute the perpetrators and arrest them to obtain their just punishment.

In a statement received by Shia Waves News Agency, the organization said, “Activists and Dutch official bodies reported that the aforementioned mosque was subjected to acts of sabotage at the hands of an unknown party, which resulted in burning parts of the mosque and breaking the glass of the outside windows.”

It added, “According to the preliminary investigations of the security services, unknown persons threw some stones inside the building before setting it on fire, while the operation resulted in only material damage.”

The organization expressed its great fear of the growth of racist acts in the coming days, stressing the importance of combating extremism and fanaticism in its various forms, warning at the same time of the threat that may affect civil peace in European countries in the event that these serious violations are neglected.
