Project proposal to build the largest Islamic cemetery in Europe

Two British Muslim brothers presented a project to establish the largest Islamic cemetery in Europe in the British city of Blackburn.
The brothers “Zubeir and Mohsen Issa” presented a project they called “Issa Memorial Garden”, covering an area of 84 hectares in West Blackburn and including 35,000 places to bury the dead of Muslims.
The brothers announced that their project comes after the increase in the number of dead due to the outbreak of the Corona pandemic.
The project includes an administration pavilion, another for washing, a prayer room, rooms for funerals, and sanitary toilets, in addition to a large area designated as a car park.
