Husseiniyat Ale Yassin in Australia sets up mourning tent marking nearness of Months of Sorrow
Today, the Husseiniyah of Ale Yassin, which is affiliated with the Shirazi Religious Authority, in the Australian city of Sydney revealed its readiness to hold the holy Husseini rituals during the holy months of Muharram and Safar.
In a statement received by Shia Waves News Agency, the Husseiniyah administration said: “The Husseiniyah mobilized its efforts early to receive the months of sorrow, and to revive the painful tragedy of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, his family and companions (peace be upon them).
The administration added that the faithful servants prepared for reviving the holy Husseini rituals, by installing mourning marquees, preparing the necessary needs for the establishment of Husseini ceremonies, as well as preparing the cooking requirements to distribute food to mourners during the two months of sorrow.
The administration pointed out that “Muharram this year will witness continuous programs and mourning activities to commemorate the affliction of the Prophet’s family (peace be upon them), and to recall what happened to the Master of the Martyrs (peace be upon him), his family and his faithful companions,” affirming that “the health conditions have become fully prepared for the revival of the painful occasions after the lifting of restrictions imposed due to pandemic.”
It also stressed that “the current preparations are in full swing to commemorate the sad anniversary, and in compliance with the commandments of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, to intensify the efforts to establish the holy Husseini rituals and to inform the world of what happened in Karbala.”
