Out of love to Imam Ali, peace be upon him, Husseiniya of Al Yasin distributes food to poor people in Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq

With sincere service, a group of servants of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) in the Husseiniyah of Ale Yassin in the Australian city of Sydney, took the initiative to prepare meals for 14 thousand people, as part of the activities held to commemorate the Great Eid al-Ghadir.

In a statement received by Shia Waves News Agency, the Husseiniyah administration said: “The initiative was launched to commemorate the great anniversary of the appointment of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him) as the caliph over the Muslims by the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him and his family).”

It added that “the initiative included preparing 14,000 meals, which were distributed to poor and needy families in Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq, on the love of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him).”

The statement pointed out that “such humanitarian initiatives warm the heart of our Imam, Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his honorable reappearance), and they are a pure service to help our honorable Shia brothers and families.”

The statement concluded by thanking all the donors and contributors to this humanitarian initiative.
