The 21st Malaysia International Halal Showcase (Mihas) in 2025 is set to be the largest edition to date, with more than 2,300 booths confirmed from 45 countries, surpassing last year’s 2,028 booths, Business Times reported. Organized by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade), the event reflects growing global demand for halal products and Malaysia’s increasing influence in the halal economy.
Themed “Pinnacle of Halal Excellence,” Mihas 2025 will emphasize innovation, sustainability, and digitalization. Its Knowledge Hub will facilitate knowledge sharing, halal investment, and policy alignment, while the international sourcing program will connect local exporters with curated global buyers via the Madani Digital Trade (MDT) platform, launched in March 2025. The MDT enables real-time matching, analytics, and tools to support global business expansion.
Matrade projects over 45,000 trade visitors for this year’s showcase, building on a record 43,000 visitors in 2023. Since its launch in 2004, Mihas has grown from a regional initiative into a global halal trade platform, hosting businesses and stakeholders from more than 45 countries.
Matrade emphasizes that the event aligns with Malaysia’s 2025 ASEAN Chair agenda, promoting sustainable, innovative, and inclusive halal trade and investment in the region.
