Malaysia is intensifying its efforts to promote Quranic values as a guide for ethical living, Iqna.ir reported quoting Datuk Dr. Mohd Na’im Mokhtar, the country’s Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department for Religious Affairs. The initiative aims to move beyond simple recitation and focuses on understanding and applying Quranic teachings in daily life, with the ultimate goal of nurturing a generation with strong moral values. This message is intended for both Malaysians and a global audience.

The minister’s comments were made during a Quran Hour event, which was part of the ongoing Malaysia International Al-Quran Recital and Memorization Assembly (MTHQA) in Kuala Lumpur. During this specific event, Surah al-Saff was chosen to highlight the importance of unity and solidarity among Muslims. The MTHQA is Malaysia’s main international Quran competition, bringing together participants from around the world to emphasize the Quran’s universal message and spiritual significance. The event began on August 2 and is scheduled to run for a week.
