Kazakhstan’s newly launched language-learning app Aleem has overtaken Duolingo to become the most downloaded education application across Central Asia just three days after its debut, Anadolu Agency reported.

The creators of Aleem reported that the app has already attracted over 95,000 users, reaching the No. 1 position on the App Store in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan.

Developers described Aleem’s success as a significant milestone for the region’s growing tech ecosystem, emphasizing that the platform was built entirely from scratch without external investment.

“This is not just an app — it’s a statement that Kazakhstan and the broader Turkic world can produce world-class technology,” the development team said in a statement.

Aleem offers users structured vocabulary lessons, grammar and expression practice, as well as interactive speaking and writing exercises and AI-personalized learning paths.

Observers say the app’s rapid rise reflects both the increasing demand for local digital innovation and the region’s ambition to establish itself as a new hub for educational technology in Eurasia.
