Hong Kong Named Top Muslim-Friendly Destination for 2025

Hong Kong has been recognized as the most inclusive travel destination for Muslim tourists, winning the top honor at the 2025 Halal Awards hosted by the global halal travel authority, CrescentRating.

According to the Financial Technology Times, the city significantly advanced in the 2025 Global Muslim Travel Index, rising to third place among non-Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) destinations.

Hong Kong also secured the No. 1 ranking globally for overall accessibility for Muslims and the second-highest ranking for Muslim women travelers.

This success is attributed to Hong Kong’s sustained efforts to attract Muslim visitors, including a substantial increase in the number of halal-certified restaurants from 100 to 190, a project strongly supported by the Hong Kong Tourism Board.
