A new store, called Robot Mall, has opened in Beijing, China, and is being called the world’s first 4S store for humanoid and intelligent robots, Anadolu Agency reported. The 4S model stands for Sales, Spare parts, Service, and Survey, and is a concept widely used in China’s automotive industry.

The store, which opened on the first day of the 10th World Robot Conference, is located in a robotics industrial park in Yizhuang. It showcases over 50 different robot models across seven categories, including medical, industrial, bionic, and humanoid. The robots on display can perform a variety of tasks, such as brewing coffee, flipping pancakes, painting, playing basketball, and even dispensing traditional Chinese medicine. Prices for the robots range from 2,000 yuan ($278) to several million yuan.

This opening coincides with the World Robot Conference, which features over 1,500 products from more than 200 companies. China is heavily investing in robotics and AI to address challenges like slowing economic growth and an aging population, and the launch of this store is seen as a major step toward commercializing advanced robotics.
