Human Rights Watch calls on Biden to address Uyghurs issue in his meeting with Jinping

Human rights activists called on US President Joe Biden to address the persecution of the Muslim Uyghur minority in northwest China, during his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Sophie Richardson, China director at New York-based Human Rights Watch, said that when the two leaders meet on the Indonesian island of Bali after Monday, Biden should stress that the United States is committed to an international investigation into human rights abuses by the Chinese government.
