Bill Gates donates $6 billion to charitable causes

 Bill Gates, the founder and former CEO of Microsoft, recently donated more than $6 billion worth of shares to his charitable foundation.

 He gave approximately $5.2 billion of his shares in the Canadian National Railroad and approximately $995 million of his stock in Deere & Co. to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Despite his enormous donation, Gates is still the fifth richest person in the world.
